How does CallTape record my calls?

CallTape records by merging a dedicated recording line into your call, creating a conference call. While you're on a call, you add CallTape's recording line and merge it — the conversation is then recorded through that line and saved to your diary. You start each recording yourself; nothing is recorded without you initiating it.

Is call recording legal where I live?

Call recording laws vary by country and region. Some places require that all parties consent to being recorded. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you. Please make sure you have the right to record before using CallTape.

Where are my recordings stored?

Your recordings and transcripts are stored so you can access them across the app. The full details are described in our Privacy Policy.

Does the other person know they're being recorded?

CallTape does not automatically notify the other party. Depending on where you live, you may be legally required to inform them. Please follow your local laws regarding recording notifications.

How do I delete a recording or all my data?

You can delete any individual recording inside the app. To request deletion of all your data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device to cancel at any time.
